Our state-of-the-art fitness center offers group fitness classes, cardio and strength training equipment and fitness assessment to establish your baseline fitness level to help you stay fit and healthy.
Our 55-foot indoor pool is open 24 hours a day and maintained at a comfortable temperature for swimming and exercising. Join aquatic exercise classes, which are held several times each week, to get a great, low-impact workout using water paddles, hydro-water weights and water noodles. After class you can swim laps or take a relaxing break in the Jacuzzi and let the warm bubbles massage your cares away. Guests or family members can also use the pool and Jacuzzi with you.
The Fitness Director can help you design an individualized exercise program to maintain and improve your balance, strength, endurance, and flexibility. It may include workouts with our state-of-the-art hydraulic Keiser equipment, as well as with free weights, treadmills, elliptical trainer, recumbent cycles, therabands, exercise balls and medicine balls. The Fitness Director will help you learn to use each piece of equipment and set up a program to meet your individual needs and fitness goals. Our Fitness Director is also on site five days a week and available by appointment for consultation.
Group Exercise Classes
Choose from a range of fitness classes, taught by our Fitness Director and certified Yoga and Tai Chi instructors. From strength & balance, Tai Chi and yoga, to aquatic exercise and line dancing, there are classes for every interest and ability level. Class schedules are posted in the fitness center, the pool area, and on all Channing House bulletin boards.
