So what is Life Care?
There are four basic types of retirement communities: Full Life Care, Modified Life Care, Continuing Care and Rental. Channing House is a Full Life Care community.
Life Care is a type of Continuing Care Retirement Community (CCRC) that provides health care coverage for life in an on-site skilled nursing center. Channing House offers this with no cost increase in the monthly service fee. What’s more, Life Care guarantees that if a resident’s resources are exhausted, they lose neither residence nor benefits.
Life Care Simplifies Planning
A life care contract is a continuing care contract that provides independent living, assisted living, and skilled nursing care services for your lifetime. There is no change to your monthly fee, even if your needs change.
We Match Your Independence Level
New residents between the ages of 65 to 83 who live independently can move into Channing House. As a life care community, Channing House can provide you with accommodations that match your level of independence.
On-site Assisted Living and Skilled Care
From time to time, illness or a surgery might require that you need a little assistance. Our on-site Health Care Center provides assisted living and skilled nursing care—with no increase in fees. We give you the care you need to be ready to resume your full independence.
Residents who develop dementia also receive care at Channing House, unless their physician determines that they need a specialized dementia facility for their own safety and security. For all residents, nursing staff is available to respond to calls around the clock.
